Wilson is known to have copied styles and techniques from earlier noted masters, as well as accurately using fine old woods. The C-bouts on this violin are particular interest, as they are "scalloped" between the points - the overall effect is quite nice. Various repairs to top, back, sides and scroll. Excellent earthy tone - one local player says this one 'plays itself'...
