Exceptional original condition. These fabulous guitars from Roy Noble represent the finest woods coming together to create an exceptionally lovely sounding guitar. It has a big voice, with great balance, and with as much thunder when you "dig into it", as it has subtlety and nuance when you play it with more finesse...
You already know the score - these high end Brazilian guitars made with high grade backs and tops are priced artificially too low, because of the economy slowing down over last 3 years. The talk from many top makers is that these guitars will spring quickly to $10,000 and beyond... it is really just a question of whether it will do so 'next year' or in a few more years.
It is hard to describe the tones of this guitar. Experienced Roy Noble owners know that when the guitars are about 2-3 years old they open up to such an extent that I find myself thinking that they consistently surpass almost every other instrument I have ever heard, for things like: balance, clarity, sweetness, projection, and expression. You can hear them "down the hall" from the room they are being played in. Naturally it follows that when you add top grades of Brazilian Rosewood and Adirondack Red Spruce AND Ivory nut, saddle and pins, that you amplify these tonal qualities even further.
Natural 40-year old Ivory nut & saddle, as well as a Bone saddle (currently installed in bridge). Fossil ivory bridge pins and end pin. Gold Waverly tuners. Flamed Maple outer bindings with Herringbone purflings at edge of top. Ebony fingerboard and bridge, with cut diamond inlays in Ebony fingerboard.
Imagine being able to buy an exceptional condition Brazilian guitar from the same luthier who built several for Clarence White to perform and record with, from March 1967 into the early 1970's... That's Roy Noble! w/ OHCShipping Cost: $150.00 |
