New John Walker Selway Custom Guitar - Sold

Sold
This is truly an exquisite instrument from John Walker. A true "Super Jumbo" version by the man who hand built so many of the Prototypes, Customs and the NAMM show display guitars for Gibson during the early and mid-1990's.
Made with all top quality materials and options:
Intensely figured Maple back, sides and neck that has the perfect "honey-amber" finish color. Master grade Adirondack Red Spruce top with wide grain, some "bearclaw" figure, and plenty of silky medullary rays. Neck is 2-pc Maple with thin Ebony stringer running down the center. Bindings are complex multiple layers with Macasser Ebony outer bindings - I could run out of space describing these bindings - be sure to look at the photos. Highest grade Abalone purfling around top edge and soundhole rosette. Very interesting wood marquetry backstrip down center of Maple back. Macasser Ebony heelcap. Macasser Ebony end pin wedge beautifully and perfectly mitre'd with multiple bindings.
Ebony fingerboard, bridge and peghead overlay. Gold Waverly tuners. Tortoise pickguard. Bone nut and saddle, Ebony bridge pins and end pin.
This is an extremely great sounding guitar. Perfect attack, balance, depth and overall voice.
