1974 Hernandis Grand Concert Guitar 'In Stock'
Exc.(-) Condition. The top and sides both have a few knicks, the largest on the binding. The back is pretty clean, with just some minor scratches. The peghead and back of neck are in great shape, no wear on the fingerboard.

1984 Guild D-212 SB Guitar 'On Hold'
Exc.(+) Condition. This is an extremely nice guitar. There is one small repaired area on the top with cosmetic touchup, and a few random lines of finish checking which are hard to spot. Neck nice and straight. Original frets in really great shape. Everything except the nut is original.
Top appears to be high-grade Engelmann Spruce with a great sunburst finish. Mahogany back, sides and neck. Moulded back. Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Small dot inlays in fret board. Nickel Grover mini tuners.
This guitar is very nice, it's bright with a sound that fills the room. Comes with extra sets of strings and a capo.

Exc. (++) Condition. There is just one sign of previous ownership of this guitar: the back of the neck has a few shallow gouges that are just barely visible. Aside from that, the guitar is in superb condtion.

Nice open sound. The baritone 8 string is tuned like a normal baritone guitar but with octaves of the 3rd and 4th strings. This makes for a very interesting sound, really good for voicing chords.

This is a "Prairie State" model... made similar to the old venerated Mauer Prairie State guitars made by the Larson Brothers. Body is wide but not deep. Here are some spec's: Width of upper bout - 12 3/4"; Width of lower bout - 17 1/8"; Nut width - 1 3/4"; Pin spacing at bridge - 2 1/8"; Scale length - 25.4".

There is one long line approximately 8-9 inches of surface check in lacquer and wood in the back, this is a natural occurrence in Brazilian Rosewood with this much figure. There is an incredible amount of detailed work done on the Abalone purflings on this guitar.
Very nice Sitka Spruce top. Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. The top, back and sides are all bound with Ivoroid and top-grade Abalone purflings. There is also Abalone around the neck on the body, along the heel, and on the soundhole rosette. Center seam inlay in the back. Mahogany neck with radiused Ebony fretboard. Abalone "Snowflake" inlays. Slotted peghead with gold Waverly tuners and Ivoroid buttons. Elaborate Abalone inlay on peghead overlay. Nut and intonated saddle appear to be ivory. This is a beautiful guitar with all the amenities. Wonderful tone with lots of richness and depth. You may not have heard of Steve Helgason, but we get lots of very high end, and vintage instruments through here, this guitar is great compared to many of them.
