     These Concert guitars from Noble are his 'take' on the "OM" model. Mr Noble's Concert has less square lines, a smaller soundhole, and a 25.25" scale length. This one has 1 3/4" width at nut.
     With Noble guitars, people who have never seen them are captivated by the pure tonal voice they have. They are built a bit contrary to most past and current builders. For instance, Mr Noble doesn't employ a Spruce backing strip down the inside center seam of the guitar back. Instead of using a fairly thick top and back and highly scalloping the braces, Mr Noble thins his tops and backs and employs heavier kerfing and braces. These braces are then scalloped and voiced by Mr Noble.
     Noble guitars also have bolt-on neck construction. This is a solid attachment for tonal resonance transfer between body and neck when playing, but also allows much easier removal, compared to traditional style dovetail neck joints.
     This guitar is very nice and plays great. The scale length makes light gauge strings feel great, and even sounds very nice with extra lights (11's), or ultra lights (10's).

     This guitar sounded great when it was new, and now that it's back in our store it sounds even better. Crisp and clear with great projection. This would make a wonderful guitar for anyone who is on a tone quest. Great with medium or light gauge strings, and would be among the very best guitars in a jam or in the studio.

     Even as a fresh new guitar, this one exhibits great tone and expression. Roy Noble guitars are instruments you can play from end to end of the fingerboard and from side to side of the fingerboard and get great sound with every note. And, after they are about 2 years old, you can't believe how great the tone is...

     Exc. Condition. There are signs that this guitar has been played, but not many - just a few small light scratches on the back and sides. The top is in great shape, and the neck and fingerboard are flawless.

     This is a top of the line guitar from Roy Noble. It is incredibly rich and resonant. The guitar looks almost as good as it sounds, but the sound is really beyond comparison.

     Roy Noble guitars are known for their great tone and this one is no exception. It yields the same power and projection of the Noble dreadnoughts in a smaller body.
     This guitar has a beautiful top. The Red Spruce has a creamy texture and is complemented nicely by the Maple binding and rosette. The back, sides and neck are very appealing sets of Mahogany with a wood bound back that gives it a "natural" appearance. 1 3/4 width nut, and 25 1/4" scale.
     The 25 1/4" scale length is the main scale Mr Noble has used since back in the mid-1960's. It feels great with mediums, if you have to have mediums, but feels possibly even better with lights (12's), extra lights (11's), and even ultra lights (10's)... you really have to hear one with these lighter gauges to believe the wonderful feel and big tone from a Noble strung with them.
     Nobles sound very good when new... but the big treat is when they are about 2 years old. When they've aged that much, you get the same tones as before, but with more maturity, depth, response, and projection.

     For years we've noticed how remarkably full and open-sounding Roy Noble guitars are when they are about 2 years old or older. This one is no exception.      This is a very responsive, fine sounding guitar. Originally owned by Bill Neaves, who does most of our "flatpicking" sound samples of guitars. Bill traded it to us for a Mahogany Noble when he got a Brazilian Noble dreadnaut and one Mahogany and one Rosewood Noble, instead of two Rosewood guitars.
     It is easy to describe the tone on this guitar because it has all the elements players love: Quick, sure attack; bottomless tonal depth; big voice that projects out from the guitar; recording quality elegance of tone with lots of color and nuance. You can play the fingerboard from end to end and from side to side with no area of "off color" tonality.
