Exc.(-) Condition. This mandolin is in really nice shape. There are a couple of very light scratches and small dings on the top. The back, sides and back of the neck also have just a few minor cosmetic flaws. There is a miniscule amount of fret wear.
Spruce top with sunburst finish. Maple back, sides and neck also with sunburst finish. Ebony fingerboard with pearl dot inlays. Top, back, fingerboard and peghead are all multiple bound with Ivoroid. Elaborate abalone "Flowerpot" inlay in peghead. 2-pc. Ebony bridge. Gold tuners with pearl buttons. Pearl nut. Gold tailpiece engraved with "The Gibson."
Nice throaty tone with a slim neck and great playability. This is one of the very best and very cleanest F-5L mandolins we've played from this era. Truly an outstanding mandolin! Comes with original pruchase reciept and original waranty card.

The peghead has a moderate amount of lacquer checking.

Very nice, resounding tone. Good presence, volume, depth and resonance. Action is set up to play very nicely.
