Maple back and sides. Red Spruce top. “Pumpkin” top with cherry red back and sides. Mahogany “V” neck with stringer down the middle. Peghead overlay has The Gibson pearl inlay at top, and Pearl “Wreath” inlaid in center. Original Nickel 4-on-a-plate tuners with original cream buttons. Ebony fingerboard has large Pearl dot inlay position markers, and large side dots on bass side of binding. Ebony heelcap.

Top and back of body bound with antiqued cream binding. Original tortoise pickguard, original Ebony bridge, original 2-pc. tailpiece. Inside lip of soundhole is bound with cream binding. Soundhole rosette is 2 rings of wooden “houndstooth” purfling. Ebony end pin. Original bar frets that still have life on them.

The top shows playing/handling marks. All in all, this mandolin is in very nice shape. It sounds good, tuners work good, and is setup to play.

Comes with more recent, shaped case. The hard case appears to be from late 1960’s to early 1970’s.
