Refurbished  •  SN: 21102
1 3/16″ width at nut  •  Newer Neck

This 1915 Gibson Style A Mandolin is a bargain. It has been professionally restored in the 1970’s with a new copy neck installed and the instrument totally refinished. The work was done quite well, with the Sheraton brown color being very close to the original Gibson hue. The neck has a “V” profile, Ebony fingerboard, and modern truss-rod with access to adjust in peghead.

The instrument still retains original tuning machines and pickguard. One tuner button shaft is bent, but still turns and tunes. All original ivoroid tuner buttons. Tailpiece appears as original, but is probably a Gibson vintage copy from Prucha. Pickguard is original tortoise floating pickguard with original attaching hardware intact. Newer bridge. Birch back and sides, Red Spruce top, and Mahogany neck.

This mandolin plays and sounds very good. It looks great. Many casual observers would not notice that this instrument has a new neck or that it has been refinished.
Comes with good hard case.
