What a nice Gibson F-4 mandolin. Fully bound with Ivoroid bindings around headstock, double-cut fingerboard, and top and back of body. Oval soundhole bound with Ivoroid inside, and with Ivoroid soundhole rosette bordered with “Houndstooth” purflings. Ebony peghead overlay has Pearl inlay of The Gibson script logo at top and double flower-pot inlay. Pearl nut and Pearl dot inlays in Ebony flat fingerboard. Large position markers in bass side of fingerboard bindings. One-pc. back. Back and sides of body are figured Maple. Mahogany neck and Spruce top. Cherry sunburst finish. Original Nickel tuners with  Handel inlaid tuner buttons. Original pickguard with all mounting hardware. Newer 2-pc. adjustable bridge with solid Ivory saddle. Original 2-pc. tailpiece with The Gibson inlay. Original case.

This is a nice mandolin with high playability. Neck and frets are in tip-top shape. No cracks, no repairs. Some wear on back of neck. Slight evidence of playing around mandolin. This mandolin was formerly owned by Norman Blake and was acquired by us from him.
