Description

Exc(-) condition.
Original 1925 Gibson pot with newer neck by Bill Neaves, Sr., a local craftsman and banjo builder for years in our area.
Rounded Vee neck is 2-pc figured Maple. Fiddle peghead with Gibson logo at top. Diamond inlay pattern in peghead and Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. Ebony heelcap.
R.R. spikes installed at A, B, C & D positions. H&K 2-band tuners with Schaller 5th – all with matching amber buttons. Cream bindings.
Resonator has fairly long repaired crack in the sidewall. The repair was professionally done and each side of the crack repair is nice and flush.

Original hardware includes:
Grooved brass tension hoop, Cobra hooks, Original Presto T.P. drilled for 3rd string, 2-pc brass tube-and-plate flange, armrest, ball-bearing tubular tonering, and small 1/4″ hex thumbscrews attaching resonator.
This banjo sounds very good and has no problems. Comes with a hard case from the period.

Currently in shop for installation of “Oregon Banjo Co” hide head.
