1930 Albert Boughey Violin

Description

Interesting violin with 2-pc. birds-eye maple back. Birds-eye figured sides. Excellent spruce top. Original dark amber finish missing in some areas of back and top. Spruce top appears to have sustained some mild accident – possibly a tool dropped on the violin. Very good patches were made to patch 4 spots where the separate dings occurred. One patch is triangular, one patch is circular, and two are diamond shaped. These patches are done quite well, and are interesting to look at. Ebony fittings. Currently in shop for setup. Comes with 1800’s “coffin” case.
