Description

VG (+) condition. Serial number: 3188W.
Guitar plays as a round neck or with nut extender as a lap instrument. As a round neck, action is high at the 12th fret. Frets are in great shape. Radiused fingerboard and frets are in great shape. Cut diamond inlays and four pearl dots covering screws in fingerboard to help hold neck to body. Single cone body with rolled in F-holes on each side of fingerboard extension. Original tailpiece. Tuners appear to be from the period with black Bakelite and are working fine. Original 12-fret square neck that has been slightly rounded. Walnut finish on steel body has been removed. Neck has been refinished with black. National logo is no longer on Rosewood peghead veneer.
This guitar has a lot of character visually and tonally. The sound is that perfect echo-y hollow sound like hearing the guitar being played in a open stairwell or concrete hallway. Newer cone and biscuit, and cover plate.
