Description
Exc condition / No. 240
This 1936 Florentina violin was reproduced from a Stradivarius style in Germany by a fine craftsman. This is a finely made violin with excellent symmetry and carve lines. Gabon Ebony fittings, except for the metal fine tuner tailpiece. Slightly antiqu’ed top with a beautiful brown amber finish over a light amber ground, producing a rich historic look. The top, back, and sides all show lovely areas of antiqu’ing.
This violin produces robust tone and was played for many years by a noted local stage musician, who took great care of it. The previous owner was a prominent teacher and performer in Montana for approximately 20 years. There are no signs of it having any problems or repairs.
Comes with an excellent backpack-style hard case with solid bow protection tube.
