This 1951 Gibson F-12 mandolin is possibly the most robust sounding Gibson mandolin from the 1950’s that I have ever been around.
It has a Quilted Maple 2-pc back with flamed Maple sides and Mahogany neck. Mandolin is completely single bound with antiqued cream bindings. Original gold Kluson Deluxe tuners with pearloid buttons. Gibson logo inlaid at top of Ebony peghead veneer. Bone nut. Tobacco sunburst. Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard with large dot inlays. Rounded “V” neck profile. Original black/white/black/white/black pickguard. Gold engraved tailpiece. Appears to be all original parts except for a newer bridge.

This mandolin is in excellent condition with original hard case. Good, strong sound.
