Description
VG (+) condition / #W2695-20
1-11/16″ width at nut
This 1955 Gibson ES-125 is in nice playing shape. It has a fair amount of player wear around the body and neck, as well as some water damage to the finish on the back. This water damage is just aesthetic and doesn’t affect the structural integrity of the guitar. Tobacco sunburst Spruce top with Mahogany back, sides, and “C” profile neck.
The darkened peghead features the Gibson decal at the top, and truss rod access above the bone nut. Replacement Nickel Grover tuners installed. The “C” profile Mahogany neck has some wear. The Rosewood fingerboard has pearl dot inlays and white side dot position markers. The Spruce top has a single P-90 pickup with one volume and tone knob. Black plastic pickguard. Two piece Rosewood adjustable bridge. The top shows wear mostly around the edges. The Mahogany back and sides show similar wear to the top, and some damage to the finish on the back.
This 1955 Gibson ES-125 is priced lower due to the aesthetic issues with damage to the finish and the dings and scratches around.
This guitar is setup nicely and is ready to be played. The single P-90 pickup sounds great. Comes with an excellent fitting Gretsch hard case.
