Description

Exc condition. Serial number on rim: 7-5649-24.
Maple resonator. Mahogany neck is very nice, probably from a major neck builder. We suspect Frank Neat but cannot confirm. Flat fingerboard is Brazilian Rosewood with Wreath inlay pattern. Peghead is double-cut with Gibson logo at top and Wreath inlay at center. Bone nut. Cream colored binding along fingerboard and single cream binding around back of resonator. Old Pancake off-set tuners with Schaller fifth, all with cream colored buttons. Tonering maker unknown, however the sound is great. Gibson Maple rim with one coordinator rod and one nut attaching the neck. One-piece pot metal flange. Original hardware except newer Presto tailpiece.
Frets show wear, including dents in the first position, but not enough to cause buzzing. Resonator and neck are in great shape. No marks on resonator.
Greg says this is the bargain Gibson banjo, with great tone for the money.
