Exc.(-) Condition. This small-bodied Martin is quite a “peach”. Made in 1959, with Adirondack Red Spruce top and Cuban Mahogany, this Martin 5-18 parlor guitar is in very nice, playable condition. Brazilian Rosewood peghead overlay, fingerboard and bridge. Mahogany back, sides and neck. Adirondack Red Spruce top. Original Grover G-98 tuners come with the guitar, but it currently has a newer issue of the same tune from Grover installed on the peghead. Original pickguard.
These small parlor guitars from Martin can be tuned to a standard guitar, or slightly higher, or a full 1/3 higher which is called a “Terz” guitar. Appears to be original nut and saddle. Newer hard case.
***This guitar is currently being assessed for a repair near the endpin. We will photograph the area and describe it when the repair is complete. Please call if you have questions. (406) 327-9925.
