Description

SN: 303722. 24 3/4″ scale length. 1 11/16″ nut width.

1965 Epiphone Olympic solid body. Solid mahogany guitar. 22 fret neck joint. Set neck. Cherry red finish is intact with some finish added in wear areas on back. Double-cut, contoured body. Peghead face is blackened, with Epiphone decal in center, and in the truss rod cover near nut. The side away from the tuners has thoughtful, artistic scalloping. 6-on-a-plate Kluson deluxe tuners with cream knobs (low-E tuner shaft is bent but tuner works fine). Jumbo frets in rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid dot position markers. Cream pickguard with “E” logo between pickups. Two single-coil pickups. Independent tone and volume knobs for each pickup. Three-way selector switch. Original stop tailpiece replaced with newer intonatable Tune-O-Matic tailpiece.
These guitars are very rare. In our 29th year in business, this is the first one we’ve ever had.
VG(+) Condition. Numerous chips in lacquer around peghead, some dings in back of neck. Body has touchup lacquer over belt buckle wear areas. Top has dings and scratches. Comes with newer tweed case.
