1-1/2″ width at nut

This 1965 Martin D-28 is a really nice guitar. It has two cracks repaired, one at the heel of the neck and one at the peghead. Both cracks were repaired professionally and were done very well. The body has overspray and there is a little on the back of the neck as well.

This Martin has a great sound, a really snappy beautiful tone. Brazilian Rosewood peghead overlay and C.F. Martin decal at the top. Bone nut. Gabon Ebony fingerboard with graduated pearl dot inlays and white side dots. The top and back are both bound with cream bindings that are antiqued. The top edge has further strips of binding layers as purfling as five strips showing on the top face edge; On the back there are two strips, one white and one black. Antiqued cream heelcap and end wedge. On the top there is the original pickguard. Possible the original bridge, but probably shaped a little. It has an intonated bone saddle and bone pins. The top is a very nice Sitka Spruce with shown finish checking from the overspray. The Back and sides are a very nice Brazilian Rosewood. Has a Mahogany neck which has a vintage feel. The back strip is a wooden dark and light back strip which goes down the center of the back. The Guitar inside is very clean. Bridge plate is great and all the bracing is great. Everything on the inside looks original and nice. The guitar did have one bump that it suffered, but the binding took the hit and it was repaired very well so its hard to notice unless you are looking for it.

Comes with period case.
