This 1966 Gibson LG-0 is all Mahogany. The blackened peghead overlay has the Gibson decal at the top and truss access before the bone nut. Original Nickel open-back tuners with cream buttons. Serial number “428521” stamped into the back of the headstock towards the top. Rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays and side dot position markers on the bass side of the fingerboard. The Mahogany neck is a comfortable shape, and it does not have many marks that can be felt while playing.

The Mahogany top has the original tortoise plastic pickguard that is missing the the top screw. Very simple single black ring soundhole rosette. Original black plastic bridge with a bone saddle and white plastic bridge pins. Tortoise binding on the top edge. White plastic end pin.

Overall wear: This 1966 Gibson LG-0 has the original plastic bridge that looks like Ebony. It will either need to be reglued or replaced with a higher quality bridge. The plastic bridge is original to this era, but it would be enhanced with a wooden bridge. The action is high and will need to be addressed. The heel has an interesting darkened area, but it is not to cover up a crack.

The top has a decent amount of dings and scratches around, but the main area to point out is the treble side of the lower bout. It has two spots where it looks as if it got knocked. It has one pretty good scratch below the bridge towards the butt, about 1.5 inches in length or so. The tortoise binding on the top edge is in pretty rough shape. It has several areas where it has slightly worn through, and it has areas where it has split, separated, and been reglued.

The sides have dings and scratches around, but the main ding to point out is on the butt towards the back edge. looks like a repaired crack on the bass side waist. The back is in a little bit better shape than the top and sides, but it still has a fair amount of the same sort of dings and scratches. The worst areas on the back are around the back edges where is has some small pieces of the wood chipped out. It has some dings around the peghead, but the neck is in pretty nice shape besides some crackle finish.

Comes with an old Gibson chipboard case.
