This vintage 1970’s Fender P Bass is actually quite a big nicer than the “VG(+)” rating we gave it. We rated it at that way because of the wear through the finish from playing. All of the wear on this guitar is real stage wear. This was the guitar that went to all the smoky bar jobs, and the years of smoke have made an amazing true antique look on this finish, turning what was once Olympic White into an awesomely complex yellow, with hints of the Ash body and white finish coming through. The peghead has naturally aged to a dark yellow. The back has an area of belt buckle or perhaps string tie wear. There are one or two small gouges as well, perhaps from a cymbal falling into the guitar in one of those smoky bars.

This is a very resonant body and neck. The neck is nice and straight with just the right amount of professional relief in the setup. Original tuners and pickup work fine. All original knobs and bridge/tailpiece. Original black/white/black pickguard. Frets are original and are as fine as can be. Possibly has the original nut. Neck has a Walnut stringer.

All original. The only piece of hardware missing is the coverplate from the bridge. Comes with original hard case. What a great bass!
