This 1978 Fender Jazz bass is a really cool example of why the later 70’s J-basses are highly sought after. This instrument has a Maple neck and a 3-color sunburst Ash body, with the original pickups. Two volume knobs and one tone knob, with a thumb rest on the pickguard to make for more stable playing. Truss rod access before the bone nut.
Original Fender open-back tuners. The Maple fingerboard is bound with white binding. There are pearloid rectangle inlays with black side dot position markers on the bass side of the fingerboard binding. The neck is in great shape, with only a couple dings scattered about. The fingerboard and frets have recently been cleaned and are looking and feeling great. The Ash body has some noticeable player wear and a couple other stray dings and scratches, most likely from loose items in the case.
This 1978 Fender jazz bass sounds phenomenal, it definitely did not just sit under a bed and collect dust. This is a real professional players bass. Comes with the original Fender Plastic Hard case
