“Stock” from factory except added 5th capo

Here is a tried and true Gibson RB-250, one of the most iconic banjos of my generation.
Mahogany neck and resonator, with antiqued cream bindings around top and back edge of resonator and along fingerboard. The Ebony fingerboard has traditional diamonds and bows pearl inlay pattern. “Gibson” offset pre-war style tuners. Brass frets with only minor wear.

All original hardware and parts. Tube & Plate flange. Flathead tone ring. Four-hump tailpiece. Double bracket armrest.
Vega style side mounted 5th string capo installed along bass side of fingerboard. Banjo pickup comes with the banjo, but it is uninstalled in the case.

This banjo is pretty cool. Check the photos; The patina of the metal parts and lacquer make a great look to a banjo that was used in jams and gigs for years.
There are some marks in a pattern on the resonator back. There is darker over-sprayed lacquer at the volute… This usually means there was some sort of repair there, but the extent of it isn’t readily apparent. Some normal hand wear thru lacquer on back of neck.

Repaired peghead crack with cosmetic darkening of finish.
Resonator back shows some pattern marks in the lacquer on the resonator back – almost like someone set it down on a spiral bound notebook.
Comes with period hard case.
