1-11/16″ width at nut

This 1979 Guild D-40 has a Sitka Spruce top, and Mahogany back, sides, and neck.  The peghead overlay has the Guild logo inlaid at the top in pearloid and a crown flourish inlaid in the center.  Truss rod access before the bone nut.  Nickel Grover tuners with nickel tulip buttons.  The Rosewood fingerboard has pearloid dot inlays and white side dot position markers on bass side.  There are two points on the Mahogany neck where the finish is rubbed off and some other spread out dings and scratches.  It is a pretty comfortable but slightly deep “C” profile neck, but the thinner nut width makes it so this plays very easily.  The Sitka top has a good amount of stray dings, but it is structurally sound.  The Rosewood bridge has tan plastic pins.  Tortoise plastic pick guard.  The sound hole rosette is made up of three concentric circles of black and white alternating lines.  Top and back are bound with cream binding.  Cream heel cap.  Mahogany back and sides are very similar to the top and neck in the fact that it has a good amount of stray dings and scratches.  Pickup access in place of end pin.

This Guild has nice robust sound with the low end really shining through.  This guitar is great for fingerpicking, flatpicking, or any style in between.  Comes with hard case.
