This vintage Music Man Stingray Bass is in amazing condition and has full resonance. These great basses were designed and built by Leo Fender, after he left the Fender company. The Music Man basses from this period are viewed as very fine machines.

Maple neck with Rosewood cap fingerboard is in great condition. Frets are in great shape with almost zero sign of playing. Fingerboard has large pearl dot inlays and black side dots. Peghead is in perfect shape with all original decal and finish intact. Truss rod accessible just above the nut. There is a Rosewood stringer along the back center of the neck. Original nickel tuners stamped Music Man. Both sides of lower peghead (just above the nut) show darkening from cigarette burns. Back in the time the bass was made, it was not uncommon for musicians to temporarily place a cigarette there. We see this often in instruments from this era.

The Alder body is in great shape with only a few cursory light dings here and there. The three-color sunburst is very tastefully done. Original black-white-black pickguard. All other parts original, including the strap buttons, bridge, pickup, thumbstop.

Original case is also in great shape.
