This 1990 Guild Artist Award guitar is in great original condition and plays great with low action.  Made in Westerly R.I. in 1990.  This is an Acoustic cutaway jazz box, with floating H/B pickup.  Flamed Maple 2-pc bookmatched back with Rosewood stringer along center.  Flamed Maple sides.  Maple 3-pc neck, with 2 Rosewood stringers along back of neck.  This great guitar is fully multiple bound. White outer bindings with 9-ply seen on Spruce top edge, Maple back edge, and Peghead face.  5-ply seen on face of F.B., side of F.B., around pickguard, Maple sides.   3-ply bindings seen on inside edges of f-holes.

The peghead shows off the high grade Ebony face with all its glorious bindings, Guild pearl logo at top, and big inlay of abalone-framed large pearl blocks with engraved Guild Urn and cursive “Artist Award Model”.  4-ply truss-rod cover above the nut.  *Truss rod works like a champ.  It easily dials-in the neck between straight and slight relief.  Gabon Ebony fingerboard shows off traditional top Guild inlays of big pearl blocks with inverted abalone triangle in center.

Tortoise floating pickguard has Humbucking p/u mounted at neck position, floating free of body.  Control knob on tail of pickguard.  Ebony intonated adjustable bridge.  Unique design Guild trapeze tailpiece with beautiful engraving.  All Gold-plated hardware, including: Grover Imperial tuners, Pickup, Pickguard mounting hardware, bridge adjusters, tailpiece, and strap pin near neck heel and at endpin, and even the jack for the p/u.

Remember… “a thing of beauty is a joy forever”…
This is a great guitar in great condition. I’ve just set it up for nice low action and it almost plays itself.  It has a smooth, full sound.
