These are some of the most respected, well-built mandolins with very tightly consistent lovely, lyrical tone that fills a room with slight touch on the strings. The A-6 is Bob Givens’ highest A model. This is a beautiful mandolin with typical red-gold sunburst on very highly figured woods. Book-matched, figured Maple back, sides and neck with Engelmann Spruce top. The mandolin is fully bound with multiple Ivoroid binding. Ebony peghead overlay has multiple bindings, and a beautiful Torch hand-cut and engraved by Bob Givens. Bone nut. Radiused Ebony fingerboard bound with Ivoroid. Engraved pearl dot inlays. Ebony abbreviated pickguard installed with Ivoroid binding. Top and back of body have multiple Ivoroid bindings with black lines seen on sides and upper and lower faces. Ebony adjustable bridge hand-made by Bob Givens. Original 2-pc. tailpiece. Original Ebony end pin. Schaller tuners with pearloid buttons.

Two small grafts of binding at the nut were professionally added by luthier Larry Brown of California. Strap button installed on shoulder.
