1993 Gibson Les Paul Standard- ON HOLD

Description

Exc Condition  •  SN: 91193339
Lt. Tobacco Sunburst  •  All Original

This 1993 Gibson Les Paul Standard is a pretty nice guitar, especially considering it’s over 30 years old. Flamed Maple top as well as light flame figure even in Mahogany neck wood.
The peghead overlay has Gibson pearl logo inlaid at the top, “Les Paul” decal in center and black/white truss cover just above the nut. Original “Tusq” or similar material nut. Gibson Deluxe closed back tuners with yellow tulip buttons. The 8-digit serial number and “Made in USA” brand are clearly stamped in back of P.H.

The Rosewood fingerboard is bound with cream bindings and inlaid with pearloid trapezoids. The Rosewood fingerboard is from an early enough period that it may be Brazilian Rosewood, but it has been darkened a bit from oiling that it isn’t easy to identify.

The body itself is a study into the signature tone of a Les Paul. The Mahogany body is one-piece with carved two-piece Maple cap for the top. While the honey brown Mahogany is very attractive, the Flamed Maple cap really looks great with the sunburst finish. The top edge is also bound with cream binding, with a crescent of the Maple cap slightly visible inside the cutaway area, just below the binding.
This guitar has standard Les Paul configuration: Single cutaway, 2 humbucking p/u’s, pickup selector switch in upper bout, 2 Volume and 2 Tone knobs, tune-a-matic bridge and stop tailpiece. All Nickel hardware.  The cream binding color is repeated in the selector switch base, the pickguard and the pickup surrounds. Original strap buttons.

This 1993 Gibson Les Paul Standard is in great condition, with light signs of handling and playing. Original frets with only slightest wear. A few stray dings that are very slight.
