This 1994 Gibson J-30 is a square shoulder Mahogany dreadnaught with a Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany back, sides, and neck. Blackened peghead veneer shows Gibson logo decal at top and historic Gibson banner decal in the center. Black/White truss cover near nut. Tuners are Kluson copies “Gibson Delux” with greenish/yellow tulip buttons. The Rosewood fingerboard has pearl dot inlays and white side dot position markers on the bass side of the fingerboard. Tortoise plastic pickguard. Simple but effective soundhole rosette of black/white/black concentric circles. Rosewood bridge with boxed bone saddle and rosewood pins.
There are no cracks or crack repairs on this instrument, but there are some signs of finish checking at the butt of the guitar. There are some small chips of lacquer at the peghead, and a few dings here and there on the rest of the instrument. This guitar has the Gibson “100 year” label and is very robust with a very large presence of opened tone. Comes with the original hard case.
