Description

Exc condition. SN#011.
Width at nut: 1 1/16″

Highly figured Maple back, sides and neck. Engelmann Spruce top. This mandolin is a direct copy (or… a continuation), of the famous RL Givens A-6 mandolin model made from around 1986 until end of 1992.
Steve Weill is uniquely qualified to make this mandolin, because of working for RL Givens for approximately 10 years, making mandolins alongside Bob Givens.
The A-6 has beautiful appointments: Hand-cut, hand-engraved Torch abalone/pearl inlay in peghead. Delicate flowers inlaid in fingerboard. Gabon Ebony peghead overlay and radiused fingerboard. Blackened back of peghead. Full U neck profile. Fully multiple bound with Ivoroid bindings on top, back, peghead, and fingerboard. Handmade Gabon Ebony bridge. Gold hardware including Schaller tuners and two-piece tailpiece.

This is a nice sounding mandolin. Comes with hardshell case.
