Build by French luthier Maurice DuPont. Pau Ferro back and sides. Walnut neck with 2-pc. heel. Slotted peghead with gold, vintage style tuners with pearl buttons. Ebony peghead veneer has gold inlaid “DuPont” logo at top. Bone nut with zero fret. Ebony fingerboard with large pearl dots at the 5th, 7th, and 10th frets. Smaller pearl dots at the 12th and 17th. Small pearl side dots in black binding. Carved and intonated 3-pc. Ebony bridge with center section movable for closer intonation. Cutaway body has multiple wood bindings at every quarter. Traditional DR tailpiece with Ebony insert. Ebony endpin. Oval soundhole has traditional multiple concentric inlays with solid block near base of fingerboard. Clear pickguard applied beneath soundhole.
The figure of the Pau Ferro on the back and sides is very striking. Very nice balanced tone.
Very little wear, the only touch mark showing is on the back of the peghead. No fret wear.
