Brazilian rosewood peghead overlay. Taylor logo inlaid in pearl at top of peghead with wooden truss rod cover. Original Micarta nut. Gabon ebony fingerboard with abalone dots. Wonderful cedar top with excellent grain, and huge, warm voice. Abalone soundhole rosette. Gabon ebony bridge with original Micarta intonated saddle. Ebony heelcap. Reversed binding with black outer binding at corner of top and back edge, with multiple lines of white/black seen on face of guitar, and single white seen on sides and back of guitar. Rosewood back has colorful thin wooden strip down center.
This guitar is in great condition, and would be excellent or excellent plus condition except for several random touch marks on the top. None of these are bad, and there are not many, but it is worth noting.
When this guitar came in, it went across the workbench like all instruments do, to be checked and adjusted/restrung with nice new strings. Right away, it was apparent that this guitar is a cut above most Taylors. The attack is powerful, and the balance is even across the whole spectrum. If you are looking for a great sounding guitar, this is it.
