This Phoenix neoclassical mandolin was built to have extra light strings, which makes it very easy to chord for any style. Though it has extra light strings, the sound is not affected negatively; It has a sweet voice with some good punch.

There is an interesting high grade figured Spruce top and Maple back, sides, and neck. The Ebony headstock overlay has a Phoenix inlayed at the top in abalone, and there are Silver Grover tuners with black buttons. Fossil Ivory Nut. The Ebony fingerboard does not have any inlays but there are abalone side dot position markers on the bass side of the fingerboard. The Maple neck is a very comfortable rounder “V” profile, and there is a black strap button installed on the inside of bass side point. There is an Ebony pickguard installed and there is an Ebony tailpiece with an Ebony end pin installed. There is a two-piece lore style adjustable Ebony bridge with a Maple base.

This mandolin is in great condition with only a slight amount of stray dings that are hard to spot. Comes with a hard case.
