2001 Schneider F-5 Mandolin – SOLD

Traditional F-5 specifications. 2-pc. quilted Maple back. Flamed Maple sides and neck. High-grade Spruce top. Sunburst finish. Ebony peghead overlay with “S” logo at top. Gold Schaller tuners, gold 2-pc. tailpiece. Gold adjusters on bridge. Slightly radiused fingerboard with Abalone “Cut-Diamond” inlays. Double-cut fingerboard extension with last few frets scalloped away. Back of neck has finish worn for a “speed neck” feel. Ivoroid multiple bindings seen around peghead, and top and back of body. Neck has single Ivoroid binding. Ebony Loar-style bridge.

This mandolin has a solid tone. Throaty voice with good chop. Frets show signs of moderate wear. The top has random small dings here and there, the back is surprisingly clean with one or two marks. Neck is in good shape, there is a little kink in the fingerboard flatness, primarily on the bass side, but you can play right over it with no buzz. Comes with original hard case.
