This 2003 Martin HDN Negative guitar is a dramatically beautiful dreadnought. It has a black body and neck contrasted with cream peghead overlay, fingerboard, pickguard and bridge. Indian rosewood back and sides. Engelmann spruce top. Mahogany neck with Micarta fingerboard. Creamy Micarta peghead overlay with elaborate abalone inlays below Gold CF Martin & Company. Creamy Micarta fingerboard with abalone inlays of snowflakes, cut-diamonds, and cat-eyes. Creamy Micarta bridge with black Micarta intonated saddle. Creamy pickguard. Ebony pins with abalone dots. Entire guitar bound with multiple bindings. Peghead and fingerboard show the multiple lines on the face, while multiple lines are seen on sides of body, side of heelcap, and back of body, and on sides of end wedge. Complex soundhole rosette with multiple concentric circles of wh/blk/wh and middle circle of abalone. Wooden herringbone purfling inside top edge. Nickel Martin tuners with black knobs. Traditional diamond volute behind peghead.

New Mint condition. This guitar is wonderful. For sound, playability, appearance and collectability this guitar ranks very high.
