Its pretty rare for us to get pre-owned Prucha mandolins over the last several years. This 2004 Prucha F-5 mandolin is a nice example of Jaroslav Prucha’s craftsmanship and tone. Traditionally built, with a medium brown amber sunburst. European Maple and European Spruce.

This mandolin is fully multiple-bound, with ivoroid outer bindings and black accent line seen on faces of peghead, top and back of body, heelcap, and on the sides of the fingerboard. The neck is a well-round “V” profile. Frets show almost zero wear. Ebony peghead veneer has Prucha logo inlaid at top and the floral inlay in center. Truss rod cavity is just above nut in peghead. Gold Schaller tuners. Radiused Ebony fingerboard with double-cut extension, scalloped. Medium pearl dot inlays in fingerboard.

Two-piece traditional Loar-style adjustable Ebony bridge. Gold Prucha two-piece tailpiece. K&K pickup professionally installed. Gorgeous Maple figure in the two-piece back, the sides, and the neck.

Not much sign of playing wear  – this mandolin is in excellent condition. There are a few signs on the back of the neck and light scratches on peghead but otherwise very little sign of player wear on the body.

Tone is really good on this mandolin.

Comes with good hard case.
