Exc. Condition. This banjo shows slightest amount of use, with minor discoloration on armrest. Almost no wear to the frets or head.
Figured Cherry wood neck and resonator. Resonator is 2-piece, book-matched quilted Cherry that is very dramatic. The neck has similar figure, but is more subtle. Fiddle peghead with JPrucha logo at the top and “Hearts & Flowers” inlay in the Ebony peghead overly. Solid pearl truss rod cover. Appears to be Brazilian Rosewood, radiused fingerboard with pearl “Hearts & Flowers” inlay with Legend inlaid in pearl block at 22nd fret. Bone nut. Reversed multi-ply bindings with black/white/black along fingerboard and top and back of resonator, with white line seen from the top, the bottom and the sides. Ebony heelcap. Prewar style 3-ply Maple rim, with 20-hole flathead tonering. Wonderful tuners with matching Ivoroid buttons. Railroad spikes installed at A, B-flat, B and C.
This is a great sounding banjo, the tone is similar to maple but with more mid-range and more of a sculpted attack. Comes in Travelite case.
