This 2005 Gretsch Country Classic II is essentially a “Country Gentleman” model but they did not have a new agreement with Chet Atkins at this point. very nice Black Cherry coloring with Gold hardware all over this instrument.

The peghead overlay has “Gretsch” inlayed at the top and a Gold plaque in the center that reads, “Gretsch Country Classic II Custom Edition”. It has a two-layer black and white truss rod cover with Gold screws before the bone nut, and it has Gold Grover Imperial tuners. After the bone nut there is a zero fret. Ebony fingerboard with thumbnail pearl inlays and black side dot position markers on the bass side of the fingerboard binding. T.V. Jones pickups. Ebony bridge with adjustable saddle piece. Of course it has a Bigsby tremolo. The Country Classic has a bunch of control switches and pots for pickup selection, tone, volume and bass or treble mute.

This 2005 Gretsch Country Classic II is in fantastic condition. No scratches on the pickguard and no wear on the Gold from playing. White binding can be found around the peghead, on the fingerboard, around the top and back edges of the body, and around the heelcap. The back of the guitar has the Gretsch pad that snaps off to reveal the access to the electronics.

Upon purchasing this fine guitar, the owner elected to have the moveable bridge pinned to the top. Pinning the bridge just keeps the bridge from sliding around while you are playing, which would be very inconvenient.

Comes with the original hard case.
