This is a fine used Beard MA-6 Mike Auldridge model that’s in great shape and sounds fabulous. Black finish all over with Ivoroid multiple bindings and pearl hearts & flowers banjo inlays in Ebony fingerboard. The bindings are quite attractive – Ivoroid outer binding strip all over the guitar, with inside wood purflings that accent the outer layer perfectly. Un-dyed Ebony peghead veneer, with Mike Auldridge signature logo at top and Beard logo near nut. Pearl banjo style inlay flower in peghead.

Body is Birch ply construction. Originally set-up, tuned and voiced by Paul Beard in conjunction with Mike Auldridge. Beard spun cone and spider. Maple saddle inserts with Ebony tops. Bone nut. Nickel hardware, including traditional fan pattern coverplate.

What a great sounding pro guitar, and used by a great player, with no signs of mishandling.

One of our most faithful customers just traded this 2007 Beard MA-6 Mike Auldridge signature squareneck. It was a little surprising, as we remember selling this same player this very instrument back in 2007. Since he’s owned and played it, we’ve heard over and over from him why this was one of the best guitars Beard ever built.

But here we are today and he has just traded it to us for his new Beard “Belle Beard” that he had to have (the hot new double cone design from Beard).
He and I have discussed the tone of this very Mike Auldridge model many times… about how it has very focused primary tones that are full of information, but don’t have the distractive overtones that can occur. So, even as he was shipping me this old favorite of his, he was talking of a future that again will have a Mike Auldridge in it.
Comes with a good Orig Hard Case.
