This beauty is a Dudenbostel F-5 #37, made in 2007 and showing almost no signs of wear. It has a high grade Spruce top and 2-pc highly figured Maple back, sides and neck. Gabon Ebony flat fingerboard and 2-pc Ebony Loar-style adjustable bridge.

The Ebony peghead veneer has Pearl Dudenbostel logo inlaid at top and full pearl Fern floral inlay in center. Truss rod access is above the Ivory nut. The flat Ebony fingerboard has medium pearl dot inlays and dark side dot position markers along the bass side binding. The peghead has multiple bindings, with ivoroid at the corner and black accent lines seen from the face of peghead and from the sides. The double-cut fingerboard is scalloped on the extension after the 20th fret. The fingerboard binding is ivoroid with black accent line seen from the sides.
The neck profile is a rounded “V”. Silver Waverly tuners(handmade in Bozeman, MT), with matching solid mother of pearl buttons.

The body is a work of art. The carving is wonderful with beautifully developed re-curve at the edges. The body has the ivoroid bindings around top and back edge with black accent lines showing on sides and top and back edges.
Abbreviated F-style tortoise celluloid plate pickguard with the same ivoroid binding with black accent line. Silver James tailpiece with Dudenbostel logo engraved on the lid.
Both the top and back of the body are in great original condition.

This is a fine mandolin. Dudenbostel mandolins are more rare than other high end builder’s mandolins but they are in demand from players and collectors alike for their obvious expert craftsmanship and their obvious perfection of sculpted tone.

This mandolin is in great shape with good set-up and wonderful tone. It comes with a hard case.
