This 2009 Kimble A-model mandolin is very nice. It is a traditionally built A-model, with highly figured Maple back, sides and neck, with a Red Spruce top.
Silver Waverly tuners with solid pearl tuner buttons.
The Ebony peghead veneer has pearl Kimble logo inlaid at top, with an abalone wreath flourish in center. Truss-rod cover is in peghead above bone nut.

The Gabon Ebony radiused fingerboard is double-cut with a short extension. Large pearl dot position markers. The fingerboard is bound with multiple ivoroid bindings.
The small frets show light wear. The back of neck profile is a “very rounded V”.

The top is beautiful grained Red Spruce, that shows some small smooth dings here and there, but nothing major. Ebony abbreviated pickguard with multiple bindings.
Two-pc Loar-style adjustable ebony bridge. Silver James tailpiece with Kimble engraved into the lid.

The back is nearly perfect, with but a few tiny touch marks. Back edge also shows the multiple bindings around the edge.

This is a very nice mandolin that plays easy, looks great, and sounds great.
