This 2013 Collings C-10 Maple Cutaway is a real nice blonde beauty. Very tasteful matching of woods and colors. Sitka Spruce top. Blank Ebony fingerboard. A very elegant
looking guitar that sounds very big for a small body. Collings knows how to do maple, voicing it to a warm, “dialed-in” tone that sounds great. This Guitar could be described as “Mint”, with
no player wear.
Collings’ “Haircut” peghead shape. Ebony peghead veneer has Collings logo pearl inlay at top. Nickel Schaller mini tuners. Bone nut. Blank Ebony fingerboard with ivoroid side dot position markers. Ivoroid outer bindings around top and back of body, heelcap, and endwedge. Top edge has two black accent lines. Soundhole rosette is also ivoroid/black concentric circles. Tortoise plastic pickguard. Ebony straight bridge with cut-thru intonated bone saddle. Rounded (Venetian), cutaway. Ebony bridge pins and endpin. Maple back has light brown wooden stringer along the centerline.
This guitar would be worth the money just as an object of art, but the sound of it is at a high level, too. Very crisp attack with immediate and unwavering tone that follows.
