Beautiful Wenge F.B. and Bridge
This 2013 Collings CJ 35 is a wonderful tone machine that also looks strikingly handsome. Pretty close to new condition, the guitar barely shows first signs of fret wear on first couple frets under the B string and has a small area of light button trails in the center of the Mahogany back… These “button trails” are smooth slight compression mars that don’t break the finish. Some people refer to them as “worm tracks”. There are no repairs, no problems, no need for any work.
Choice Mahogany back, sides and neck. High grade Sitka Spruce top.
Collings “haircut” peghead shape. Ebony veneer has Collings ivoroid inlay at top. Bone nut. Wenge wood fingerboard and bridge. Fingerboard has pearl graduated dot inlays. Attractive ivoroid multiple concentric circle soundhole rosette. 1930’s style firestripe pickguard. The Wenge rectangular bridge has a “cut-thru” bone intonated saddle and ivoroid bridge pins. Nickel Waverly tuners with ivoroid buttons.
Single Ivoroid bindings around top and back edge of body, heel cap and end wedge.
This guitar is set up very well and plays great. Comes with original Collings TKL AVS hard case.
