Exc(-) condition. SN: 12393013. Nut width 1 23/32″, 2 3/16″ pin spacing.
Hot rod Mahogany slope shoulder Jumbo from Gibson. Made after the original J-35’s from the 1930’s into about 1940, or 1941. Built by Gibson as their answer to martin’s D-18, these were lightly built advanced scalloped brace guitars with light bridges and bridge plates.

Honey color finish on Mahogany back, sides and neck. Blonde Sitka Spruce top with lots of grain character. Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Ivoroid bindings around body, with multiple purflings inside top edge. Kluson copy tuners. Comes with L.R. Baggs pickup professionally installed. Bone nut and saddle.

Known to their rarity and for their punch. A revered guitar among serious pickers. This example is no different. Very light guitar with huge sound and good playability. Comes with good HC.
