This banjo shows almost no evidence of being played. Some slight marks on the head. Beautifully figured Maple. Finish is a handsome see-through brown that complements the grain.
Spirit peghead with elaborate pearl inlays. J. Prucha logo inlaid at top, with elaborate floral pattern filling center of peghead. Radiused Gabon Ebony fingerboard with beautiful elaborate floral Spirit inlays. This very banjo is the first banjo to be brought into the United States with an example of this Spirit inlay. The Spirit inlays are unique in that each inlay is not confined to one fret, with certain inlays having tendrils that reach into frets above and below (please see image). 4 H&K main tuners in headstock with Gotoh 5th peg, all with matching ivoroid buttons. Multiple ivoroid bindings along fingerboard and top and back of resonator. Bindings at top and back of resonator show black line on both sides. Nickel hardware including Prucha/Ptacek cryogenic flathead tonering.
