This 2015 F-5 Mandolin by Lynn Dudenbostel is a great mandolin that delivers near perfection in playability and tone.
Traditionally made, with highly figured 1-pc Maple back, highly figured Maple sides and neck. Adirondack Red Spruce top.

Ebony peghead veneer has Dudenbostel pearl logo at top, traditional Flowerpot inlaid in center, and Ebony truss rod cover near nut. Pearl nut.
Radiused Ebony fingerboard with double-cut extension. Pearl dot inlays in f.b. EVO frets. Fingerboard scalloped away after 20th fret. Neck has nice “V” profile.
Back of peghead Ebony veneer has nickel tuners with solid pearl buttons.

Traditional tobacco sunburst under varnish finish. Abbreviated tortoise pickguard. Traditional 2-pc Loar-style adjustable Ebony bridge. Silver James tailpiece with engraved hinged lid.
This mandolin is fully bound with ivoroid bindings. Peghead and fingerboard show 1-pc ivoroid, while the body shows ivoroid outer bindings and points, but also has black accent line seen at top and back edges.

This mandolin is in great shape but does have stray small dings and touch marks here and there. No problems, nothing needed to be adjusted or repaired. This one is ready to play the MET!

The tone can best be described as “near perfection”. Listen to the sound bite we have of Solly Burton playing this mandolin. Listen how great it sounds. Then factor in that it was recorded onto my iPhone 11s to a simple “voice memo” file, using no external mic, and no tonal enhancement except Solly’s playing technique.

Comes with shaped hard case + Hoffee lightweight flight case.
