This 2017 Don Dryer A-model mandolin has had time to open up and it is playing and sounding great. It has an excellent set of Maple back and sides and neck, and a Spruce top.
The ivoroid bound Ebony peghead overlay features a pearl torch inlay in the center, with an Ebony truss rod cover beneath it. Nickel engraved 4-on-a-plate tuners with pearloid buttons. Bone nut. Ebony fingerboard has pearl dot inlays, and ebony side dot position markers on the bass side of the ivoroid fingerboard binding. Slightly tapered rounded “U” profile Maple neck is in nice shape, with one area of wear through the finish. Black strap button installed.
The Spruce top is in nice shape with a couple of light dings, and one scuff below the treble side of the bridge. Two-piece Ebony adjustable bridge, and a silver James tailpiece with Dryer engraved in the center. Top is bound in ivoroid. The two-piece Maple back is in great shape, with only light wear around the edges. Ivoroid binding on the back edge.
This 2017 Don Dryer A-Model mandolin is setup nicely and is ready to play. Light wear and great tone. Comes with a hard case.
