This beautiful example of a Collings D-1A is so like-new that it still smells like the factory.
Has a well rounded V neck profile with mahogany back, sides, and neck with an Adirondack Spruce top. The Adirondack top has very white grain mixed with typical red streaks in the wood. Ebony peghead veneer has Collings logo inlayed in pearl at the top. Tuners are Nickle open back Waverly pre war style. Gabon Ebony fingerboard with graduated dot inlays and a handsome soundhole rosette of multiple dark and light woods. A red tortoise shell pickguard. A Gabon Ebony bridge with boxed intonated saddle. Ebony endpins with pearl dots. The top and back have tortoise binding. This guitar also has an Ebony heelcap, ebony endwedge, and an ebony stringer down the back.
This is a fantastic guitar with really huge sound, power, and expression. This Collings has the two tiniest marks on the back of the guitar, It also comes with the original Hard case
