This made in Mexico Fender Esquire has the traditional setup. Black sparkle finish with an area of antiqu’ing where the right arm would rest and under treble bout. Like a typical Tele, this guitar has a Maple neck with Walnut stringer. Black dot inlays. This Telecaster is designed like an early 50’s Fender Esquire. Many of the Esquires had a pickup cavity routed above the bridge pickup, but no pickup installed. This modern re-issue has a “ghosted” pickup installed for the neck, but hidden underneath the paisley pickguard. All original hardware is in excellent condition, including excellent Kluson DeLuxe copy tuners, with excellent reproduction of the slender Fender peghead. Fender logo on peghead. Lovely antique neck finish.
Nice lightweight guitar with good balance and very good resonance.
