If you’ve been looking at the Tom Sheehy “Blues Hardware” instruments we’ve had over the last few years, you are used to seeing smart modern technology mixed with old world craftsmanship. Tom mills all of the wood and makes all other parts except for the tuners. Step back from the stereotype of what a mandolin “should be” and think about what a mandolin “could be”. After you feel the ease of playing and hear the great voice, you may feel that Tom is making mandolins “just right”.
